Minecraft Server Security Guide

Securing Your Server

Don't let hackers ruin your community.

1. Enable Whitelist

The best protection.

/whitelist on /whitelist add [PlayerName]

2. Online Mode

Ensure online-mode=true in server.properties. If set to false (cracked), anyone can log in as "Herobrine" or "admin" unless you use an Auth login plugin.

3. Anti-Exploit Plugins

Install GrimAC (Anticheat) or ExploitFixer to prevent players from crashing the server with invalid packets or lag machines.

4. BungeeCord Security

If using a proxy network, you MUST setup a firewall (like IPWhitelist) on your backend servers so players cannot bypass the login proxy.
